SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
BIKE PARADE
1:00PM DECORATE 2:00PM PARADE START The day will start with a bike parade on 5th Street. Children should assemble to the north side of the Calumet Colosseum to decorate their bikes (free materials will be provided) at 1pm. Children may also decorate at home and arrive just before the parade begins at 2pm. At the end of the parade will be a judging in the Agassiz Park parking lot for the top 4 BEST DECORATED ENTRIES. |
FREE KIDS BBQ
POST PARADE We'll provide a simple BBQ meal free for kids (hotdogs, chips, pop/water) in Agassiz Park. The same will be available for sale for adults $5. |
GAMES IN AGASSIZ PARK
POST PARADE After the parade we'll host a variety of lawn and carnival type games in Agassiz Park with some prizes for the kids. You can expect; A foam pit (see video) Bounce House Chalk Art Contest 3:30pm (see below) Bean Bag Game Duck Pond Plinko |
CALLING ALL CHALK ARTISTS
There will be a Chalk Art Contest at the Children's 4th of July Celebration! Join us at (about) 3:30pm in front of the Pavilion in Agassiz Park to start the fun. Sections of the sidewalk in front of the pavilion will be marked off for chalking.
Kids will have 45 minutes to complete a section 24-30" square.
Age groups are 5& Under, 6-10 and 11-14!
